In Petrovac in 2024 Aleksandar Indjic wrote the greatest success of his career: he became European individual champion. The European Championship is a Swiss with close to 400 players and dozens of grandmasters, one of the densest and most prestigious tournaments on the continent, and a qualifier for the World Cup as well.
On the road to the title Indjic beat Vladimir Fedoseev with the black pieces, a player rated around 2700 and one of the most dangerous attackers of today. It was one of the key wins in that golden run, the game out of which a European champion grew.
