At the 2006 Serbian Team Championship in Zlatibor, Bojan Vučković and Slaviša Marinković enter a sharp Najdorf Sicilian. White castles queenside, Black advances pawns on that wing, and Vučković responds by opening the centre. With the black king still on e8, there is a very good reason for that plan.
With 16.Nxe6, Vučković gives up a knight to reach the king. After Black accepts, the queen arrives on g6 with check and every tempo matters. The first sacrifice does not end the game, though: Marinković keeps defending until the mistake 22...Bc8. Stop there and try to find the finish. Even a queen doing most of the attacking can become the next piece to be offered.
