Already under way. Rounds 4–6 run Monday to Wednesday at noon Serbian time (CEST); the final, seventh round starts on Thursday at 8am CEST. Serbia continues after beating Vietnam and losing to Cuba in the opening two rounds.
The opening ceremony is on Tuesday, September 15. The first five rounds run Wednesday to Sunday, each starting at 3pm in Samarkand, or noon in Serbia (CEST). Follow Serbia’s Open and Women’s teams through the pairings and broadcasts on the official site.
Round eight is scheduled for Sunday, September 20. Home fixtures for Žaki Jožef, Hajduk Kula and Penzioner-Šah Art are played on Saturday at 4pm. Check the host club’s notice for your match’s exact venue and start time.
For the following week: seven rounds at 60 minutes plus 30 seconds per move and a prize fund of RSD 250,000. Players must have a classical rating below 2400. Up to two half-point byes are available in the first five rounds; see the regulations for details.
Eleven rounds of blitz at 3 minutes plus 2 seconds per move, open to all interested players. The prize fund is RSD 45,000. It takes place during the Open, so check the schedule if you want to play both.
Newly announced: an open rapid at Novi Sad’s Student Cultural Centre on Wednesday, September 30, supported by the city. The organiser’s announcement links to the regulations and entry list.
Vrnjačka Banja hosts the Serbian First League in the Open and Women’s sections. October 4–14 is the date listed in the federation calendar. The detailed schedule and team line-ups are still to be announced.
